چکیده

One of the key ideas to make Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) work effectively is to deploy advanced communication and cooperative control technologies among the vehicles and road infrastructures. In this spirit, we propose a consensus based distributed speed advisory system that optimally determines a recommended common speed for a given highway in order that the group emissions are minimised. Our algorithms achieve this in a privacy-aware manual; namely, individual vehicles do not reveal in-vehicle information to other vehicles or to infrastructure. Mathematical proofs are given to prove the convergence of the algorithm, SUMO simulations are given to illustrate the efficacy of the algorithm, and hardware-in-theloop tests involving real vehicles are given to illustrate user acceptability and ease of the deployment.

Entropy-based Consensus for Distributed Data Clustering

The increasingly larger scale of available data and the more restrictive concerns on their privacy are some of the challenging aspects of data mining today. In this paper, Entropy-based Consensus on Cluster Centers (EC3) is introduced for clustering in distributed systems with a consideration for confidentiality of data; i.e. it is the negotiations among local cluster centers that are used in t...

مدل‌سازی اثر تغییر اقلیم بر انتشار دی‌اکسیدکربن خاک در مراتع خشک (جنوب ایران)

Introduction: Carbon stored in soils particularly in arid rangelands soils is the most significant carbon sink in terrestrial ecosystems. In arid rangelands, Soils have special places in both carbon sequestration and mitigate global warming. Therefore, any small change in the soil organic carbon (SOC) leads to a significant impact on the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere. Studies have shown t...

Using Life Cycle Assessment Method for Selecting Optimal Waste Management System in Tehran City

Introduction: In Tehran with a population of 9 million currently, about 2.5 million tons municipal solid waste have been producing annually. Materials and Models: In this study by using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) model an optimal system of waste management of Tehran was recommended. Based on the quantity and quality of waste in Tehran in 2013 and facilities, three scenarios were selected. Fir...

A technical and economic assessment of fuel oil hydrotreating technology for steam power plant SO2 and NOx emissions control

This work presents a simulation approach to the design and economic evaluation of fuel oil hydrotreating processes for the control of SO2 and NOx emission in an Iranian steam power plant. The percent of fuel oil desulphurization was estimated from the SO2 emissions standards for power plants. Based on two different scenarios according to (I) European and (II) Iranian standards, the design and s...
